Our commitment
SayFast does not use your audio recordings, transcripts, or Retype drafts to train models. This commitment describes SayFast’s own practices.
Dictation and Retype
SayFast is a cloud-powered app. Dictation sends your recorded audio for transcription and cleanup. Retype sends your spoken instruction and the draft you want to change for processing. Both features require an internet connection.
Dictation uses AssemblyAI for English and Sarvam AI for supported Indian languages. Automatic mode sends an initial segment to Sarvam for language detection, then chooses the transcription provider. External processing providers handle the information sent to them under their own terms and privacy policies.
History and recovery on your Mac
The app keeps transcription history on your Mac. Recovery audio may also be kept locally so you can retry a failed recording. You can manage retained history and recordings in the app.
Downloading SayFast
Before downloading through our website, we collect your email address and the time of your download request. We store these in our database to record interest in the beta and help with download or access support. Submitting this form does not create an account, verify ownership of the email, start a trial, or subscribe you to marketing emails. We use a short-lived, hashed network identifier to limit automated submissions; the download list does not store your IP address. You can request deletion by emailing support@sayfast.app.
Beta access and the waitlist
The pre-launch waitlist is closed. We retain existing waitlist email addresses and signup times to honour free-month eligibility and help with access. Account and access records are used to operate the beta. Our hosting services may process technical request information to operate and protect the service.
Eligible existing waitlist signups receive one month of free access when they first activate the app; other new accounts receive a seven-day trial. We store trial dates, eligibility hashes, device claims, and usage totals to enforce allowances and prevent repeated trials. Reinstalling or signing in again does not restart access. No card is needed for the trial.
Your website account
We use Supabase to authenticate your account and store your email address, account identifier, and access status. Google sign-in is currently available. We receive the account information required to authenticate you; we do not receive your Google password. The website stores session credentials in your browser’s local storage so you can stay signed in when you return; signing out removes that session. Access dates are managed by SayFast; signing in does not restart a trial.
Dictionary sync and connected Macs
When you sign in to the app, we store your dictionary words, corrections, and their settings in your SayFast account so they can sync between your connected Macs. We also store each Mac’s name, a device identifier, connection dates, and access status to enforce the two-device limit and let you revoke devices. Revocation stops future service requests; it does not remotely erase files already saved on that Mac. Transcription history and recovery audio are not included in dictionary sync.
